TATINO Pop Up Wildcard is designed to support exceptional film talents from countries in a state of political unrest. This year, we could count on the cooperation and support of production company Kino Produzioni, who has hosted for the first time a Pop Up residency in Rome.

This Residency programme is only open to filmmakers with an already established body of work (at least two features written and/or directed, or similar filmography), and that usually cannot benefit from new talents supporting schemes.

Following the success of its inaugural edition in January 2026, TATINO is pleased to announce the return of First Cut Lab Paris, an onsite editing consultancy programme, designed to support audiovisual professionals from across the world, with a focus on feature-length films in the editing stage.

A key component of the Pop Up Film Residency in Bratislava, the Slovak Pop Up initiative - launched in 2019 - is now in its 8th edition. After careful consideration and a series of interviews, 5 promising projects were chosen to participate in the program this year, which will consist of a series of project consultations with international mentors taking place in Bratislava from 18 to 20 September 2026.

TATINO is proud to spotlight five projects developed within its Full Circle Lab program — all currently in production. Full Circle Lab is an international capacity-building training program designed by Tatino Films to support the writing, development and post-production of feature films with a strong connection to a given film industry or region.

Festival season has started, and it's shaping up to be a landmark stretch for TATINO. Over the next two months, 11 TATINO-supported films will make their world premieres across five major festivals — Locarno, Sarajevo, Venice, Toronto, and San Sebastián — a lineup that reflects the full breadth of what TATINO's labs and residencies have nurtured over the past years.

First Cut Lab Poland is a consultancy programme designed for three feature films in the editing phase. After having accompanied 20 Polish films between 2016 and 2021, First Cut Lab is excited to return to Poland via a new partnership with Warsaw International Film Festival and its industry strand, Warsaw Industry Days. This edition takes place onsite in Warsaw.

Since 2012, Eurimages has been addressing the issue of gender equality and under-representation of women in the film industry. With Eurimages’ support, Pop Up Film Residency holds a residency for women filmmakers developing their third or later feature film project.

Initiated in 2025 in partnership with Telefilm Canada, First Cut Lab Canada is a consultancy program designed for 2 feature films in editing phase from Canada. The selected teams (director/producer/editor) are offered a creative framework, both benevolent & challenging, where to open up new perspectives and to explore the whole artistic potential of their films.

TATINO, over the last few months, has launched a number of important calls for projects, linked to some its in-house programs like First Cut Lab or through prestigious partner programs, like the ones with Screen Australia or with PROG Producers and Netflix. TATINO is excited to announce a new partnership with Screen Australia with the creation of First Cut Lab Australia. This new initiative aims to support early to mid-career Australian filmmakers with dedicated feedback to create the optimal cut of their feature film.
